Shared shuttle: about 90 minutes after departure. The operator allows up to an hour waiting before departure and up to eight stops.

Alternative seen: Gatwick–Palermo, 05:40–09:35 out; 10:10–12:15 back, approximately £72 extra for four at the search stage. This alternative has not been re-priced at checkout.

A private transfer upgrade was offered at £77 per person (about £308 for four). Not selected. These extras are snapshots too.

Spring, rather than summer

Expect typical coastal Sicily highs around 19–20°C and nights around 11°C. Sea temperatures are around 16–17°C. These are climate averages, not a forecast for your dates.

Good for towns, coastal walks and sightseeing. Pack layers and rain protection. Unheated pools may feel cold.

Pool detail: Palladium's outdoor pools are listed as unheated, with advertised opening from 3 April. Acacia's main pool is normally listed as opening mid-April. Himera's April opening and heating are unconfirmed.

School dates: returning by 11 April remains the planning assumption. Ringstead's current 2027 dates and any INSET changes must be reconfirmed before booking.

A deposit now. A clear plan.

easyJet holidays advertises £60 per person upfront, interest-free instalments and the balance due 28 days before departure. For these 1 April departures, that is 4 March 2027. Payments are made through your account; this is not an automatic Direct Debit schedule.

Example: five payments from November to March, with the last received by 4 March. This calculator does not arrange payments.

Illustrative instalment

Deposit is part of the package price, not an extra fee. All packages except Himera were checked before the checkout refresh, so payment calculations for those are approximate. Cancellation charges apply; the advertised first-cancellation deposit-credit offer requires cancelling at least 60 days before travel. Read the operator's current terms.

Questions worth answering

Himera: what are the exact beds for two adults and two children? The room accepts four in the search but says “one extra bed”. Confirm whether a fourth bed or shared sleeping arrangement is intended.

Activities: confirm the kids’ club for the exact April dates, English-speaking sessions, and the pool opening. “School holidays” is not a confirmed 2027 timetable.

Room separation: Palladium's two bungalows are not guaranteed connecting. A “rooms close together” request is not a guarantee.

Family preferences: £3,180 for seven nights or a lower ceiling? Late-night Luton return or earlier Gatwick flights? Shared sofa bed or separate beds for the boys?
